The existing maisonette within a traditional townhouse needed extensive refurbishment to bring it back to its former glory. D4P worked closely with the client to analyse the needs of the area which resulted into sub-dividing the property into 2 self-contained apartments. Both apartments consisted of 2 bedrooms with a contemporary open-plan kitchen lounge room. The interiors of these apartments were dressed as a blank canvas where a young professional family could make it their own. The original brick work was restored in key areas together with the original fireplaces to create a balance between the traditional and the modern.
